does anyone know how to add point weight to these shafts... i know i can change the point...but what im looking for is if anyone has found 100 grain brass inserts or internal weights that will fit the diamter...they appear to be a bit smaller in diameter than the regular ce 150s or gold tip carbons... any help is always appreciated.....steve
The inside should be 5/16ths. just like a GT or Heritage. The outside is just smaller, I think. Shawn
Sorry Shawn, the GT inserts will not fit inside the Thunderstorm shaft-I have tried.
Steve, you may try just buying some small screws that will fit the insert, and cut the heads off. I have not seen any other weight systems that will fit.

that is what i was afraid of..thanks A.S....these arent going to work for me like i'd want them to..pm if your interested..i have 24..
Have you tried the 200 and 250 grain field points? I made up some 225 with 100 grain steel broadhead adapters and 125 grain 11/32" glue on field tips. I'm using Easton Excel's, so no brass inserts for me either. May look at building some of your own (heavy field points) or getting some of the 200's and 250's from 3 Rivers. If you find that they work, all you have to do is order the glue on broadheads and either the 75, 100, or 125 grain adapters and make your own up. Hope this helps.
Are you shooting a super light bow? Can't imagine using that much point weight on a Thunderstorm and getting good flight....
I wondered the same...what is the rig you are setting up....recurve, center cut, poundage, actual draw, etc...
I'd be interested in taking them off your hands if you can't figure them out, though.
The rig definitely falls into play here. I have a 54@28 Howard Hill with B50 string and the Tstorms are a hair stiff at 29" with 250 up front.
