Thanks.  The riser is "Crimson Ironwood" dymond wood, and edge grain zebrawood limbs with red elm core. I wish I could shoot better left handed so I could have enjoyed shooting it a bit more before I shipped it.

I've actually had some customers that didn't like the sticker and took it off.

whats the recommended brace height for a hill bow? thanks in advance!

Place the base of your hand on the bow handle and stick your thumb up towards the center serving while strung. Roughly 6.5"

That's a good starting point. Hill style and brace are up to the shooter with a wide variance.

Wow.

That one's prettier than mine, but they all shoot very well.

Good job, Mike.

This bow has been very frustrating for me...initially I just did not have the strength required to shoot it to its full potential due to the winter lay off...I am 62 years old and shooting 60 pound plus bows requires constant work on conditioning...then about the time I started to get strong enough I developed bursitis in my left shoulder...as you can tell from the bow I shoot both right and left handed but a having a weak bow shoulder or a weak draw shoulder is still a problem...this bow is not perfect but it is truly a rocket launcher which is not something you can say often shooting 650 grain 2317's...I started the project with a deer bow in mind...what I ended up with is the ultimate elk and moose bow...not bad when you live in the middle of some great elk and moose country, eh?

The grain pattern in this lovely osage Mike suggested for the riser makes it look like a laminate...still pretty yellow but slowly turning golden...Mike sold me the bow in unfinished form but truthfully there is not much incentive to finish it...it shoots and looks great the way it is...I put a couple of coats of Spar Varnish on it to seal it up and I may shoot it for a long time that way...thanks Mike for going along on a bit of a wild venture with me...one day I will send you a picture of that bow laying on top of a Pope and Young bull...might be of the elk variety...might be of the moose variety

Oh yeah...you actually are supposed to attach the picture before posting, eh...I compare it to premature ejaculation, which btw, is a problem I no longer have

Anyone who thinks you need some padding in the sight window has never shot a dual shelf bow...I have two of them and either one shoots quiet off the wood...I think the design simply creates more paradox and properly spined arrows bend around the riser very quickly...not too often one is going to find a properly spined arrow is a 300 with a trad bow but this one loves my old 2317 Grand Slams

That bow is almost too pretty to carry into the woods to get dinged up! Well, almost too pretty. I would be proud to be seen with it.

Yes sir! Maddogs are complete shooters, I've had mine for months now and it still astonishes me everytime I draw it. Mike is a helluva guy to work with too, He'll set ya straight. I have nothing but praise for this man's bows.
