After waiting about a month for Hoyt to correct my limbs with a manufacturer's defect, I received my second set of Dorado limbs only to find out the second set has a completely different defect.
The second set of limbs they sent me was missing a bushing inside the hole that sets over the alignment pin on the riser, thus allowing the limbs to move from side to side WAY too much.
I don't necessarily need advice on this one as much as I just need somewhere for my steam to go! I'm going to kindly tell Hoyt where they can put their Dorado, and I will let my local shop (not a trad shop) know that I'll be needing my $500 back.
Man that sucks! I would be mad as a hornet as well
Sorry to hear that coach. Hope ya find a new bow and soon.
That sucks, no company wants bad advertising. Hope for their sake this was a isolated event. I know your upset, but maybe they can make it right with you. Talk to the Hoyt area rep. Maybe he can help you. Good luck.
That does suck rotten eggs! I will be watching to see if you get any money back from your local shop though. There is not a shop around here that would give you your money back. They would say it was a warranty issue between you and Hoyt.

when you get your money back go pick out a nice bow from the classfides.an deal with people who know a little about trad archery.lots of good deals an lots of good people to deal with.your 500.will go a long way there.good luck ED
I agree with Legends1....tell your shop owner that you want to talk with his Hoyt rep. It is their job to handle stuff like this.
Hopefully your shop sets things right.
This is a normal thing for Hoyt though...all of the limbs on their Gamemaster and Dorado bows are rated for a 23" riser. So they always come out 4-5lbs heavier on the shorter riser than what they're sold as.
I've owned over a dozen Dorados and Gamemasters and every single one of them came in 5lbs heavy.
If you like the bow otherwise, you can buy the insert from Lancaster archery and solve your problem and have something to shoot. Not the best solution but at least something that would get you going. Just a thought. Good luck!
