We are leaving out tonight after Tracy gets off work. Her shift is over at 11pm. Hopefully there will not be to many charts to fill out and we can leave around then. We will drive all night and end up in bear camp about 4pm on tuesday.
The rest of our group are already there and hunting. Yesterday was opening day of bear season and they killed 2 bear. One 210# the other 400#.No kidding 400# on a scale not estimated!
I will be taking some packs of Grizzly heads with us to try and keep up with the paypal orders. Just dont expect same say service. :D

Good luck guys
Tracy always kills the largest critters in camp. Its pitiful, haha! This trip will be no different. Good luck Tracy!
I bear hunted around Leonard for about 7 years! A 400# is a stud bear in MN! Congrats and good luck!
Good luck and be safe. Most of all have FUN.RC
First night out was a good one in spite of warm temps. Tracy saw 2 bears. One was a 150ish pounder. It must have been his lucky day because he got A free pass. The second was a 50 pound cub. He was ver entertaining. That little guy thought he was the bull of the woods. He thought the bait site was his and his alone. He stayed up until nearly dark. He made for some pretty good video.
Sounds like a good time is happening in Mn.
Come on Tracy do your stuff!!!! :archer2:
Hope you and Tracy have a fine hunt Bill. Keep the updates coming!
Looks like that little fuzzy guy will be in for a good workout! Go get 'em Tracy
The fizzy guy got his first bear track experience yesterday. The track was about 18 hours. In spite of that he did very well with it. He took the track about 400 or so yards before we calld it quits. The neighbor of the guys we are hunting with shot the bear. He did have it on video and knew the hit was high. He was hopeful that he got the top of the lungs bit it did not turn out that way.
Tracy and I sat a different stand last night with nothing sites except a coon and a doe. One of the other hunters from our group did miss a bear yesterday. Oh we'll a clean miss is the next best thing to a clean kill

Good luck Bill! I love those broadheads, I took what might end up being the new trad world record grizzly this spring with them, complete penetration at 14 yards and he only went about 30 yards before piling up, I think you guys put the picture up on the grizzly website.

Thanks for sharing your bear picture with us. That is one impressive bear!
Well folks sorry to leave you hanging so long.cell service is very spotty up there. We are headed home now. Every one in our group had an opportunity to shoot a bear. 4 of our 5 hunters decided to take the opportunity and put bear in the freezer. Everyone made good shots with 100 percent recovery.
The bad news is Tracy was not shooting her recurve well the day she killed her bear so she decided to take her training wheels to the stand that day. Of course that happened to be the day her bear came in. Oh we'll. I think she made the right choice since she wa not feeling confident that day. We all know traditional archery is about confidence and I'm proud of her for making the right decision
So the total for the week was 4 well shot bear with an average weight of 270 pounds. I will say Tracy's bear fooled her and dropped the average.
Bill
I will try to get the other traditional hunters to join tradgang and share their stories with you all
Congrats Tracy good to hear you scored. :clapper: :clapper:
