Title: Any drawbacks to ACS RC Limbs Composite Core?
Post by: gables on September 09, 2013, 02:15:00 PM
I have put a deposit down on an Epic 17" Dryad riser with ILF fittings and a standard set of recurve limbs that are bamboo core and black glass.

I have an opportunity to get a lightly used set of ACS RC limbs limbs with a foam core. Is the noise of ACS with foam core the main drawback for some users?

Thanks

I have a few sets of foam core limbs and all mine are quieter than my wood core.
Also have the ACS-RC, however they are not foam core.
very fast!

I could be wrong but I don't think Dryad offers foam cores on any of their limbs. For cores they offer actionwood or bamboo as an upgrade. I had a set of Dryad ACS Legend limbs with bamboo core upgrade and they were very fast limbs.

I have a new set of the "LEGENDS" with the foam core on a 17in Dalaa riser. They are very quiet with very small Cat Whiskers added to the SBD 8 strand string.  NO draw backs

Many thanks for the feedback, it was very helpful. I'm putting my first dream bow together just in time for tuning, practice and then the rut.
