Thanks guys! It really was one of those moments of a lifetime.  I appreciate you watching.

Mike, the only thing better would be having Dad shoot that big bear instead of me.  We will be going again next year if you want to join us.  I'd like to put together a traditional camp.

That was fantastic!!! Great, clear footage, beautiful setting and not single fist pump,no yelling and not even "Big bear down" just respect and admiration!Again excellent job and a FANTASTIC shot, you should be proud!

I love how you say "its a moment of a lifetime...we'll be going back again next year." Thats the best part about bear hunting in ontario. Its an awesome experience and you can afford to dit more than "once in a life time".

Bert congratulations again. I just watched the video again was that bait site just north of a river like 50 to 100 yards. That bait site looked familiar

Shawn, I don't know how much we can control how we react in situations like that.  I just feel killing an animal is a sad, exhilarating,  and amazing experience all wrapped in one. I really don't like the kill, but that is what makes it a hunt, something that I know most of you feel the same.  I hope Stan Potts feels the same way and that is how he expresses it.

Dave, that bait wasnt near a river. It was south of a pond about 80 yards. It was on a logging road about 18 miles from camp.

Bret's Father and I are very good friends and hunting and fishing companions from way back. I've known Bret since he was a little guy. He's an outstanding woodsman and hunter and I can guarantee his response in that video is as genuine as it gets. Hope he doesn't mind but here's a few pics.

Okay not the spot I was thinking of, it was about 25 to 30 miles from camp. I guess the bush all looks the same.  Congratulations again

We were guided.  Bear Creek Outfitters in Armstrong Ontario.  You can find him on the web, or pm me and I can send it to you.  He only guides bowhunters.  I'd like to get a group of trad hunters up there next year.
