I posted a couple weeks ago about some equipment I was going to take in the woods with me this fall. A combination of goodies from good friends, Fred Bear and most important my old man!

Well this AM the MD season came in at about 6:05. At 6:20 I was at full draw looking down thru the myrtle's on a Sika doe that I had called in.

A couple minutes later I got down to see Dad's old razorhead buried in the Dorchester county marsh mud

Not to far thru the myrtles lay our prize

I swear when I got that Bear TD to full draw I hear the old man sayin "SHOOT" I did and the old razorhead went right where it was supposed to......I gotta get that thing sharpened back up and in the quiver

Sunrise this morning was a bit extra special

Johnboy,
I got acall at work this afternoon from Bruce telling me about your "Mojo" success and believe it when I say at about 5:45 when I got in my truck I was thinking about Otis and you and bowed my head and asked the Lord to provide you guys...It was a good 56 degrees and a little chill in the air and a most beutiful morning wasn't it....Yep I know your Dad was looking down on ya and was there 100% in spirit brother...Congratulations I know you're pumped...
Whenn Bruce said John got a deer I said was it about a 10 pointer having two sticker points?
Hey I think that bow should be called "Mojohnjobo" Congratulations you deer killer you....

Congrats John. Good on ya man. I'll be hunting with an old Bear static recurve this year my self. Good way to get the mojo going on that new bow of yours.

As good as it gets. I bet those backs traps don't last long.

reddogge...no Sika seducer I use my own mouth to make some quiet mews that brought her in. Remind me to show you next spring at the Baltimore shoot!!!
Great story and love the sentimental aspect!
Congrats!
Really nice critter, congrats.
Now I heard Johnboy a few times in the woods doing his Sika Mew's...Imagine if you will a female mountain Lion in Heat....John is very good at it as you all can see...They come running in ...So next time you in are in the swamps of "Blackwater" and hear a "MEEEEEEOWWWWWWWWW" don't get worried and frightened it's just old "Johnboy" out there doing his Sika deer call ... :knothead:
Awesome hunt. Congrats!
