My nephew practiced with my stamping tools and I found a good use for the scrap.

Those are an awesome use of scrap leather and a great way to protect broadheads in your back quiver.
I use mine the same way.
Good job Bud!!
Thanks for sharing.
God bless,Mudd
PS: I also use the string at the tip for easy and quick removal.
Very cool. And beautifully done also.
Very nice and professionally done.
Very nice indeed. I can't tell if they have a welt but the welt would protect the threads from those sharp edges.
Those are awesome. Did you use a regular sewing machine, or do you have a heavier duty one for working leather?
Most leather work is done by drilling or punching holes then stiching by hand.
Nice work, I need to try some of those when I hunt with my backquiver.
Eric
Nice job.
You and the nephew got it going on there Bud.
Nice job! x2 on the welt and pre-drilling leather for stitching. I use contact cement and quick clamps to get my knife sheaths set - pre-drill and stitch.
Looks great !
I sew by hand and I have a Tippmaan Boss Stitcher. Sometimes I use Barge cement to keep things in place while working. I don't use a welt 'cause it just too much to do and the Barge cement usually keeps things in place plus if you wet form the covers they fit well and the ferrule taper usually keeps the blades from getting to the stitches. These are really just goofing around with the Tippman Boss.

Pretty good idea Bud.
Nice work Bud!
Way to go.... I like them! That is a pretty serious sewing machine, by the way!
Good way to stretch almost any and all scrap.
These are great!!! Question I've always had about these covers though. Do you have problems with the broadhead eventually edge cutting the stitching? Thanks!
Excellent idea, thanks for the tip.

I use a leather glue that's like a super thick super glue (mostly Barge but one other, too). As of yet I've had no problems with cut stitching.
The best design, which ain't mine, is the single stitch wet moulded one where the stitching follows the ferrule. It saves on time and stitching but requires a larger piece of scrap.
