If you are using a doe decoy, place it quartering away from you, (bucks will approach from behind),. If using a buck decoy have it quartering towards you, (bucks will approach the front to challenge the intruder),. I like using a tail too. It gives your decoy some life. And place your decoy where it can be seen by deer! Good luck!!

Legs and head pop off and store in belly (but you have to be careful as I lost an ear and it took hours to find it)

Became a Christmas decoration last year.
Im going to try it again this year during the rut.

Its Tinks Mr. October and Miss November. Sorry!! The pics on the internet do not do it justice. It looks very real. The tail is light and flicks in a light breeze. I also have a real tail I salted and will use with it this year. They collasped and I put mine in a soft sided fishing lure bag. Best set-up I have found, in Ohio last year had a 6pt. knock it around a bit and it was none the worse for the wear. Bringing it to Ohio again this year and hoping to film the results! Shawn

I have a Montana dreamy doe decoy. I've had mixed results with it. First time out I had a 4 pt walk right up to her. Itvwas very early, not enough light for a clean shot. He only stuck around for a few minutes and the just walk right passed me at 15 yards.

The decoy is pretty much 2 dimensional. It is a two sided photo on material sewn over a thin , bendable spring steel frame. Kind of like those windshield heat protectors you use in the summer. It folds up into a 8-9 " disk. It comes with 2 sets of collapsable poles' like short tent poles that slide in a tube pocket sewn in for the front and back legs. Every easy to transport and set up in the field. Pretty life like from the side as well.

Check them out. Montana Decoys.

I've used the Montana with mixed results.  The Miss November looks good from what I've seen.  I'm thinking hard on a Tink's.
