Title: DYEING TURKEY FEATHERS?????

What do you bleach turkey feathers with Bleach? Peroxide? Then after that I want to dye them yellow any suggestions seasons coming up in 17 days and im running out time to have some sweet lookin arrows to bust up or loose on deer. Thanks....

Save yourself some aggrevation and get some GN dye from 3r or Kustom King. They would be yellow barred, but thatwould look sharp. Bleaching will also remove natural oils that will shorten the life of the feather, and rob it of any ability to repel rain. I used it for some feathers, lost two under the snow for the entire winter....they never lost their color.

Bleaching actually weakens the feather. Tried it with goose feathers; completely ruined them. The unbarred feathers that you buy actually come from albino turkey feathers, which are dyed after removal...
