Title: what glue?
Post by: stack on September 01, 2013, 06:42:00 PM
What is the best glue for gluing broadheads to aluminum adapters. Should I use a 2 part epoxy or is there something better?

I've been using Big Jim's hot melt. Use to use Ferrultite which is also good.

When installing adapters for customers I use epoxy for an essentially permanent bond.  For my own arrows I prefer the low temp hot melt Super 735 as it holds really well, does not get brittle and moving things around (as a tinkerer like me is prone to do) is a snap.

Be sure to clean the inside of your broadheads and wipe your adapters clean before installing with any adhesive.  If using hot melt get everything hot, glue, adapter and broadhead for best results.
