Title: Unfinished Recurve Source?
Post by: NC Archer on September 01, 2013, 03:30:00 PM
Does anyone know of a custom recurve source for blanks?

We have bought longbows from 7 Lakes Longbows that were only finished to the 'glued up and rough cut' (grip and window...) stages.  Buying them this way made them not only very affordable - for really nice custom bows, but great family projects with stronger personal pride in a bow that the owner both designed and finished out themselves.  We have been exceedingly pleased with these beautiful bows, but we would now like to also acquire a recurve.

Anyone know of such options in the recurve market (7 Lakes does make recurves)?

For finished bows, I have found a couple very reasonable custom bow sources, but they are still too high for us.  I would appreciate any other leads along these lines.

Hello Allan, as soon as I can catch up I'm going to break out my short recurve form and start building them again.  You can only go so short with a longbow and I have a place for the Shorty in my line.

If you are looking for a short or longer curve just give me a call, I still have all my forms and can fix you up for about the same pricing as the longbows.
