Yep, I did. Took both ham and shoulder shots directly. Straight on both broadside, and also both quartering TO me.
Just had to get that out of my system.
Did you find them?
Yes, found them very tasty.
Well that's good. I just came in from practicing so maybe I'll get mine this year, but I better stick to the best shot possible. I'll leave those kind of shots to the pros.
Never took a ham shot on purpose, but I've messed up and hit them there a few times. Puts them down about as fast as any shot in my limited experience.
Terry, I've seen you shoot and that makes many more shots ethical... I however am not a good shot and have not always done the right thing...regretted it greatly. I really feel that a complete broadside shot at 20yds is unethical for me.
It takes a real man to mention it. Good on ya, but if your shooting in the Tradgang video is a glimpse into your talent then the animals have much to fear no matter their stance.
You were like a JDAM missile in that dvd
Me too!! The only one I find not so good is the ham shot wrecks a lot of meat!! I know not funny but over he years we live and learn. Shawn
Terry,I think you are enough seasoned and dedicated that you did what was right, not a mistake for my point of view!
The reason they were so tasty, was the shots were taken on a Traeger Pellet Grill..... :D :D :D

I just knew this was a joke, I have seen that boy shoot.
I figured that's what it was!! I love that Greek seasoning! Hey, that looks like a bear lol.
Fuel smoke or both?
Yep! I love that Cavender's as well! Enjoy!
Tasty always trumps ethical.
Remember to have a chilled glass of Mavrodaphne after.
Or an ethical shot of Ouzo before.
Looks real tasty! Good luck on the bear hunt!
LOL, I knew sumthin was up
Hey T, I was going to ask why until I got to the pics, when's dinner? Looks very good. Enjoy.
Neighbor snapped a shot of this big boy in the backyard of our mountain place...That should wet the appetite Terry! :goldtooth:

And I thought I was the only one that knew about Cavenders. Looks tasty.
Should have deciphered the trail if I had remembered Terry's often preferred lime fletching.
Hah. Had me going there.
Bear, it's what's for dinner!
Goodness and to think that Terry almost had me confessin. But I was going to confess long range., You need a long range to barbeque all them good cuts.
God bless you all, Steve
Tarz, the food looks great! The stove looks awesome too, and although I haven't hunted with you YET I know you don't take those shots :)
Good luck with those wilderness bears!
Good luck, great looking grill. Your not gonna eat that sweet feed are you? :knothead:

Sorry, wondering if the pellets are to fuel the grill, add smoke or both. I have not seen a grill like that before.
Yes both....you can get maple, apple, cherry, pecan, hickory, mesquite etc....
I'd like to make an unethical shot like that myself, looks tasty!
good looking shots terry
got so excited i posted twice :biglaugh:
A friend was telling me about his Traeger this weekend. Gonna have to look into one of them.
I have a Traeger grill and love it!!! check them out!!
Terry - I hope you "document" your bear hunt very well. I don't have a desire to bear hunt up north or west, but a dixie bear perks my interest.
Blaino...here's one document.....
