Post by: Jeremy Rash on August 27, 2013, 10:46:00 PM
Hey everybody just wanting to introduce myself as Im brand new to Tradgang. You all may recognize my last name. My Dad and step brother are the boyers of Legendsbows.com. I live just outside the Nashville TN area and am looking for any info on archery clubs, shoots and hunting spots. Would really appreciate all the info I can get! Write back and let me know any shooting/hunting spots in and around the area!

Hey man! Welcome. Check out Twin Oaks Bowhunters in Clarksville. Where do you live? I am also from that area (california is temporary). I will back at the end of October to hunt if you would like to meet up with me and another tradgang member to shoot or hunt.

Welcome Jeremy. If you're anything like your dad you'll have lots of guys inviting you to their place to hunt. It's good to see you here so we can keep track of you. I'm in Ohio now and that's not too far away from you.

Welcome from WV, when I was stationed at Ft. Campbell Outdoor life did an article saying the 2 biggest deer populations in the state were Ft. Campbell and Ft. Knox they aren't that far apart as I remember so they might be options.

Welcome Jeremy.  I met your Dad a few years back at the first IBO event held at Twin Oaks.  We've become good friends and I got to meet Debbie along with Bryce at this year's IBO at Cloverdale.

I'd like to invite ya down to Alabama for the 2014 Pre-Spring Arrow Fling and the 10th Anniversary of the Howard Hill Southeastern Classic.  Both held at Tannehill Historical State Park a little west of Birmingham, AL.

Hoping to get your Dad here for the Pre-Spring shoot in February.  Help me talk them into gettin' here and you can join them here.

If you'll send me a "private message" with your home e-mail. I'll send you the flyers for the two events.

Terry Harris

Contact Pappy(Mark Baggett) at Twin Oaks Bow Hunters just outside of Clarkesville, about 35 miles north of Nashville. They shoot every weekend and have the Tenn Classic in the spring and have the IBO Trad World Championships there last year and a few years ago. You might be able to get contact info from the Events section under the Tenn Classic or the IBO.

If you don't mind driving, you can go to  tons of different shoots.  There's Lost Tribe in Collierville (TN), the Southern Traditional Archery Association that shoots at Enid Lake (near Batesville, MS), the Tannehill, AL tournaments, etc.

Some of the best shoots there are.

I'm many hours from you in NE TN, (greene co) and as one chap who connected said, "There are lots of trad folks in E. TN, but they're secretive sorts".

I believe it!  Haven't met one but the guy who I quoted and haven't YET met him.

Welcome to TN...you're in the ZONE...there has to be population to have groups and you got population. I hear tell you get some great hunting in your area, too!

Back here, it's less deer, some bear, mostly cattle so people don't like to let you hunt their land (fearful of the idjuts) but where you are, hot mother!  :)

I also hear that as you go West the elevation drops and the heat and humidity goes UP! I can't prove it this year cause here in NE TN it's been Hot, dry and humid! WT???
