If you are sharpening a Snuffer, VPA , Wensel or most any 3 on 1 broadhead for that money you can get yourself a 3 sided jewel stick. You will not find a better tool to sharpen a 3 blade. I am shooting VPA 175 grainers and I can get them so sharp in just a few strokes on each side that they will make your eyes bleed looking at them. I have never had luck with the type you you refer too, they sharpen but no where near as sharp as I like my heads! Shawn

Many ways to skin this cat.  Shawn is likely onto something that should be pursued as scary sharp is never a bad thing.  I have really good success with laying them flat on a diamond hone and then stropping on cardboard.

If you do not have a diamond hone wet/dry sand paper on a piece of glass or tile works really well too.

There is also the hollow ground method that puts a ridiculous edge on Snuff and Woodsmans using wet/dry over a piece of PVC pipe.  It is a bit of work establishing the hollow edge but once you have it touch ups are easy with the apparatus.
