Title: Anybody make "reproduction" Bear cedar arrows ?
Post by: dan d on August 22, 2013, 10:12:00 PM
Just curious if anyone makes reproduction Bear cedar arrows ?

The hardest part would be the Bear name on them, maybe no-one can do it as the name "bear" is patented ?

Just curious,
Thanks,
Dan

Comptons had a big package last year on a drawing that had original Bear stuff (bow, quiver, arrows, etc) as well as Bear reproduction stuff--Repro arrows were made by J and M Traditions--Jim Rebuck.  You might check with him.

What, exactly, is a Bear repro arrow? Is it one with the Bear logo on it? I have a couple of arrows left out of the first dozen I bought about 1970, and they are just very plain cedar arrows except for Bear being written on them. Good arrows, though.

I have  few Fred Bear arrows from around 1971...they were brown paint overall with some blue cresting on them...blue and white feathers, white nock...that would be easy to reproduce...

of course the FB name is something you couldnt do...but who cares...

if you want a pic to use as a sample let me know...t

I have a couple of old Bear arrows to copy, it is the Bear logo that would be cool to have as I shoot a 1968 Bear supermag & it would just add to the "coolness" to have real looking arrows. Not one of those things I have to have, but would be cool to ! (at least to me anyways)

I remember them reproduction arrows at Comptons now that you say that as I was drooling over that package ! I couldn't remember who put that up, thanks for posting, I will give J&M traditions a shout !

Thanks,
Dan
