I gave away my "on-the-bow blind" to a friend for his kindness..not just to me but to everyone he comes in contact with.
Kudos and thanks for the friendship americanhunter7. (I hope that you've been able to put the blind to the test.)
Our season here in Missouri isn't too far out(less than a month away now) and that thought spurred me into some action.
I decided I was going to build myself another "on-the-bow blind" and this time I was going to document the process and share it with the tradgang family.
These blinds are so simple, easy, and inexpensive to build(or else I wouldn't have mastered it...lol)
The materials and tools needed are as follows:
Rabbit wire(you decide the dimensions to your preference)
two small squares of thin metal(I used aluminum)
2" 5/16th fine thread bolt( 2 flat washers, 1 lock washer, 2 nuts.
a pair of wire cutters
die-cut leafy camo material
and last but not least... a gadget attachment (3 Rivers Archery has these)
Make a wire sandwich with the two metal plates.

Once you've done this you'll need to attach it to you bow and play with it until you find the proper balance point for you and your bow.

Once you've found that balance point, it's time to cut out the sight window.(suit yourself with the exact size)

Now it's time to test fire a few arrows through it before the camo material is added.
Any adjustment of overall size and the sight window will be done after shooting it.

All I have left to do is to apply the camo material.
When I find where I've so carefully stored (CRS) the camo I'll finish the project, take pictures and share them.
God bless,Mudd
You're pretty sneaky with that thing, the deer said...but the turkey will still see those feet moving...maybe a full body shield is needed! :bigsmyl:
Mudd: How many TV cannels will you be able to pick up with it? :goldtooth:
Fortunately for me it only gets one channel or two at the most.... the hunting channel and the outdoors channel!!!!....lol
:archer:
Great idea! Thanks for sharing! I'm not usually all that "handy" but I might be able to pull this one off!
Woohooo!!!!
I found my camo material so I'll have photos of the finished product soon!!
God bless,Mudd

I think I forgot to mention zip ties for attaching the camo material and in my case some fake foliage.
A nice touch is when you get to the area you're hunting you can clip the native brush and add a touch here and there depending on your own tastes.
God bless,Mudd
Looks good Mudd, I would like to see a pick of you behind it tucked into the brush. :clapper:
These are so simple and easy to build... very effective for ground hunters... I was able to count coupe on two different coyotes than came up from two different directions. I effectively drew on one then was able to turn and draw on the other.. then I came back to my resting position and both dogs were still there and totally unaware of my presence.
Thump I'll get one up for you to look at.
God bless,Mudd
Very cool
Great idea! Gotta to make one of em!

Mr. Mudd - that is ACTUALLY really cool! I'm stoked!
Thanks for sharing Mudd!!!
You are so generous to share your ideas, pics, and videos with us, Roy. We always look forward to reading/viewing your threads.
By the way, I noticed you were not willing to risk affixing your invention to your "alpha bow." Ha!
Very cool!

Yeah, I'd recognize that beauty anywhere. However, holding such a work of art does nothing to enhance your appearance, Roy. Don't take the Alpha Male with you on any dates. HA!
Ha,ha,ha!!!!!!
Longerbow...mine is an inner beauty buddy!...lol
