not to derail your thread here, have you come accross Eagles Flight Archery and Kanati?

I really like the bow grippers on the Eegles flight

if you want a pretty quiver, the 2 tone Thunderhorns are hard to beat.  I prefer the Selway though, really like the strap system much better then the Thunderhorn.

Thunderhorn arll the way.  I have tried the selway slip on quivers and did not care for them at all.

Thunderhorn   Don't care for slip on's.  You can also get a thunderhorn to match your bow.

I personally won't buy another bow quiver I can't remove and install with the arrows in it.

I don't like to target practice with my bow when it has arrows in the quiver with broadheads. They just loosen up when you shoot the bow very much and I'm always concerned one will slide out and cut the string. I also don't like having to remove my arrows everytime I practice..that too wallows the holes out in foam.

Anyway there's bow quivers out there that you can take the quiver off without removing the arrows.

Selway makes a strap on model as well which I believe is the one he's asking about.   I have not tried one but I love my Selway slip on and you can't beat their customer service.  I really think you'll be happy with which ever one you pick.

I think you can flip a coin and be happy with either one.

I'm not a fan of the Selway rawhide and prefer their Soft kote rubber material much more.

If you go to the Selway website there is a video showing all the quiver models he has and how to install them.

If I were getting a new quiver it would have to be the Thunderhorn Boa Lynx 5 arrow. Only because of the connecting bar. It adds weight, which I like, but the functionality of a connecting bar is something I like.

I also vote for "Eagle Flight" over the other two.....

I've had both and prefer the Selway strap-on.  I also just bought a new Kanati "Hunter" series and this one is a great one also.  Selway's are typically lighter in weight than the others too.

Thunderhorn boa strap is the most secure Ive seen.
I recently got a EFA mini 3 but you jsut cant get 3 snuffers to fit (inserted all the way)
But thats OK as Im carrying 2 and a small game g5 reversed
I cant see shooting 3 times at a whitetail.

I've shot three times, or more, at a bunch of them...

I once had to pull my last arrow out of a deer to finish him off.

the Selway strap system is far more secure in my experience. The question wasn't about Selways slide on quivers, which I don't like.

I really like the Thunderhorn Boa, but my current favorite is the Kanati pro-angle I picked up a couple years ago.  I'm using it as an under the limbolt style but the same thing comes as a strap on.  The nice thing about the Kanati is the connecting rod keeps it together when you take it off the bow.

I have used all the selways, love them all but only use the slide on since my quiver never comes off the bow. The strap on model is nice if you can't get the slide on down to the fadeouts, or if you want to swap it from
Bow to bow, leaving the arrows in the quiver holds it together almost like a a one peice, also if looks are a concern you can call Gordy and he will try and find something or atain something for what tou are lookig for! I am sure they are all great products but I'm partial to selway products, hard to beat the reuptation and lasting quality just don't let the dog get ahold of it hahaha!

I have used the detachable Selway for about the last 7 years but I sold it with a bow. I let it go because it use to work loose & move apart after shooting it for a bit of time. I thought the Thunderhorn Boa & the Selway strap on might hold better. I have also looked at the Thunderhorn Linx & the Kanati Dual Arc. I like the look of the Kanati but think it would probably be a bit heavy & I'm not sure how long the mounting system would last or how well it secures. What ever I buy it would need to hold at least five arrows properly.

I just got the Selway Strap-on Quiver for a Stotler longbow take down that I just got. So far it is great. I have always used Selway products they have always been just what I wanted. And the people at Selway have always been first rate. Good products built and backed up by Good people, that is Selway.
