Got some Grizzly 160's almost went for the 185 Kodiaks, they sharpen up differently than a double bevel, I wouldnt say harder, just different. The edge feels different. The edge is located on the flat side and is hair popping sharp. You can run your finger gently along the edge and not feel it pull skin but they will easily and cleanly cut paper and shave hair. My total arrow weight for my black bear hunt is 542 grains and should put a beat down on a blackie.
I have used the 160s for several years and you want be disappointed. Fly like bullets and leave a great exit and blood trail. If you do your part.
I have used the 160's on footed cedars grossing just over 6oo grains and downed several pigs and 1 moose (still waiting for the elk test) and have no complaints. Shots on 2 hogs this spring
(100# ea +/-) were both complete pass thru, neither pig went more than 50 yds and though I will touch those up I believe they are still deadly sharp. LUV EM!
Two deer and a hog so far with the Grizzly 160's and all pass through's. I'm trying the 130's and 185 Grizzly's this year, but sure I'll have similar glowing results. The new thicker 185's are the way I would go for anyone hunting BIG BIG game. Moose, Elk etc. They look mean and bomb proof.
