hi guys, just need a little advise on what broadheads to use. Anyone know about the muzzy phantom, or wensel woodsman? thanks,
rick :archer:
I would go with either one of those depending on your draw weight. Lower poundage, I would opt for a two blade cut on contact. Higher than 50# and I would use either.
i ordered a black widow td recurve 28in@ 54 lbs. Plus or minus 2 lbs
personally i would use the muzzy as they are one of the most generous when giving away for charities and such
also anything good enough for fred eichler is good enough for me
For the Widow , " by the way congratulations" these will be fine selections
Good luck
Bill
Thanks :p
My son and I will be shooting all three this year..... 2,3,and 4 blade heads so we can compare recovery, blood trails, pass thrus, etc, etc.

Both of those are very good heads IMO, and will do well for deer.
If you decide on Woodsmans you'd probably be better off installing the adapters yourself, the factory installed screw ins have been a little problematic.
The Muzzy with bleeders is bigger.Bigger is always better for me.jmo
I like the three and four blade Muzzy's. I used the 100 grain four blade last year and was very successful, this year I'm going to give the 145 grain four blade a try.
I hunt with a 42@26 DAS Master.
