Title: Military mesh camo netting
Post by: TexasStick81 on August 16, 2013, 10:39:00 PM
I'm looking for some military mesh camo for a ground blind like the one shown in this thread:

Anyone know the cheapest place to find it?

Yup, I went to the military surplus store and those guy were NUTS.

I ended up buying some burlap and cutting strips then into some dye for some of it.

I lucked into a 12'x3' length of black netting that I use for a ground blind. I just weave cornstalks from my garden through the holes along with some weeds and such. Looks pretty natural when set up.

It is expensive but the price will work itself out in the long run.  It lasts so much longer than burlap and other less well made mesh.

Go with the spendy stuff. The cheap stuff falls apart quick, and also the color fades quick.

It is pretty heavy stuff so when we put it up around tripod or ladder stands we usually leave it.
We have some that is five or six years old and still holding strong.

So go for the good stuff and just buy it less often.
