Title: My new arrows!!
Post by: hntngrl on August 15, 2013, 10:02:00 PM
Well after pamike and Jon Stewart so graciously sent me arrows to test, I finally figured out what was working best and ordered some of my own! I got GT Traditionals 1535, with snake skin wraps (to match the bow), and one trad barred and two hot pink 4" shield feathers! Also, there is a foreign exchange student at my school who has been shooting a borrowed longbow and borrowed arrows for several months now. A guy at the club helped her make her own longbow, but she has no arrows so I am going to pass on the arrows that were sent to me. She was very happy when I told her!

I shot my new arrows tonight as the sun was going down and I shot my best group so far with them! I couldn't get a decent photo from the low light, but all my arrows were inside a 4" circle!

I also started shooting with 2 fingers under, instead of split and I seemed to be a lot more accurate doing that! I'm so excited to be seeing progress!!

Here is a pic of the arrows.

I bought them from Big Jim's Bow Company! Very fast shipping and there are so many fletching and wrap options to choose from!

Nice! I have some arrows fletched with pink and white. Get a lot of crap about them but they sure are easy to find when I launch one out in the grass.

The pink does make it a lot easier! My husband fletched his with two pink and one orange this time around and is sold on the pink!
