Title: 2016 vs 2018
Post by: Dry Creek on August 15, 2013, 02:35:00 PM
Not real savy on the technical stuff.  I have been shooting 2016 and just found a dozen 2018's. How much difference is there in the two.

You will need a heavier point if the 2016s were shooting well. Unless you were toward the stiff end with the 2016s, you should be able to use them. Just try some heavier points.

On my spine tester at 26" centers a 2016 is about 58# and the 2018 is 68#.
The 2016 is 10.56 gr. per inch and 2018 is 12.28 gr. per inch. Both are great shafts.

The 2018's will give you more shaft strength as well if they will fly good for you. That .002 xtra thickness really does help.  rat'
