One of our local archery pro shop's,carries these targets.I have not shot on one as of yet,but if I can find something to stand up better than my Block target,im all in.Anyone have one of these,and care to give your opinion?

Looks interesting. I've also seen targets made in sand pits. Those should also last a lifetime and would be cheaper. Just a thought.
They are usually build up with timber on 3 sides and open to the front. You can cover them with a tarp to keep some moisture and grass out of it if you want. Also works with broadheads.
I think the MRS would really care about dropping a sand pit at the end of the hall way :archer2:

I've had one for about a year. They work as advertised, and are solid as any target comes. They act as great indoor targets, and I use mine in rain and in the winter when we have a couple feet of snow on the ground.
I have the Double Dog FF and LOVE IT! Best field point target I've had. I shoot bows from 52-82# and the arrows come out as easy as can be.I also like it because I can pin paper targets to it.The hole I shot in the bottom is after I don't know how many shots(1000's???) and it still stops the arrows no problem,but they'll hang down.I just started shooting the top and when I wear that out I can turn the target around and do it again.You can get replacement covers to put on and your good to go with a "new" target. One thing for sure is DO NOT!!!!! shoot a broadhead into it. I skipped a broadhead off the back of a 3-d target and it hit this one.Luckily the bounce slowed the arrow enough that it didn't go in too deep. Look right under the top Hush puppy on my string and you can see the Snuffer tattoo! Broadheads kill even the best targets pretty quick,so I buy the cheapest block type targets I can find when I'm practicing with broadheads.

I've investigated these, but have not as yet bought one. I consider them an "investment". :eek:
X2 on the feed bags Craig. Another bonus is, the arrows pull out with two fingers with the smallest amount of effort. I fill mine with fiberfill.

Yep. I go thru about 6 feed bags per year and have been shooting the same stuffing since 1996. Costs me about $6.00 per year. That $500 target would keep me in feed bags for the next 83 years :laughing:
I make my own beer. That means I have empty grain sacks in the basement. My neighbor decided to remodel. I took the old carpet padding and tore it into pieces. I now have a fresh target.
Yeah, the padding is dirty but it's an arrow target.

Oh, she would. Mine didn't even want me putting a 3d deer at the end of the hall either. I explained that her "rules" would only work so long as she never complains about trips to the woods. Living in an apartment only leaves you two choices... make do within your apartment or vacate as needed.
I also agree with the feed sack and grocery bags Idea. Heck, if I had an extra $500 I'd put it towards a plane ticket to Colorado. d;^)
I notice they sell repair kits - does not sound like "lifetime".
if you leave the tagets outside all year, they will last approx 1 winter before the faces rot. i just re-cover them with the old burlap animal target faces and carry on. Mine are 3 years old and still stopping arrows daily. My fix also gets away from shooting dots or circles. I change the burlap targets about every 3 months to rotate the "target" area, and add a seed sack to the back to help avoid pass throughs.
If you want you can build a Life time target fairly cheep :thumbsup: :archer:

I've built several burlap for face and clothing(tee shirts or shrink wrap/plastic as stuffing)and no chix wire does not hurt your arrows
