I was asked to build a set of arrows for the Granite Mountain Hotshots memorial Benefit Banquet to be held August 29, 2013.
The overall yellow in the crown and fletch represents the firefighters, they always wear the yellow fire resistant shirts.
The flag for the state of Arizona has red, yellow, and blue with a gold star in it. So the crest has those colors to represent the state and the people the firefighters were trying to protect.
Some of you expressed a desire to see the arrows when completed...so I thought I'd share.

Brad...those are called Swift, they were done with a chopper.
they are beautiful

Only way to make those look better is to have some elk blood on them.
Very nice tribute to the men and their family members.

I really like those! Are they quiet in flight?
Nice job Ron. I'm sure someone will be very happy with those. When you brought this up I contacted them and am sending some this week to them for the auction also.
Outstanding! Thank You!
Those arrows are "CRAZY" pretty! (That is an extreme compliment by the way)

Well done. Very nice tribute.
Great job on some beautiful arrows!!!
Beautiful arrows to commemorate such a tragic loss.
Nice work! What are you using to write on them with? Do you dip after lettering?
Kyle
Beautifully made arrows and a great tribute to these fine people.
Beautiful job on the arrows. Will have to look into the auction. Hit kind of close to home, as I could see the smoke from that horrific fire. Already donated once to the firefighter families wouldn't mind doing it again for a shot at those arrows.
Tim
beauties!
Great Looking Arrows!!!!
Very nice!
Great looking!....really like the color scheme....
Thanks for sharing....

Well, I've got a bunch of blacktail and elk antlers off animals that didn't hear the arrow coming soon enough to evade the arrow with that style of fletch! :)

Kyle...I used a extra fine tip IDenti-Pen. I did quite a bit of testing with other types of pens and considered other options. Most the others would run as soon as I dipped over them.
Those came out Great. Well done!!
