With the summer heat been eyeballing a few places to shoot in the house!! ??? Like...through kitchen / laundry room and target in garage. Or. From living room / through entry way / down hall...target at end if hall. Wife is worried. Anyone do anything like this? Any pics? Any stories of...um ... Accidents? Thanks
Nope, no pics! That's evidence that could be used against me! :goldtooth:

5 years ago we had to live in an apartment for 6 months moving from 15 acres in the country...Kinda tough on the little man not to shoot so ole Dad created a way to shoot at close range!!! Only one hole in the wall( by Dad of course)

FYI, he's 13 now and still shoots that awesome Javaman Longbow
Oh yeah.be prepared though for lots of holes in the drywall, closets etc. ask me how I know
I shoot in the house a lot over the winter. I have a Spider Web target propped up in my utility room and I shoot from the kitchen. I can only get 8 yards but when it's blowing snow and cold out...that seems like the perfect distance...lol.
I have a couple holes behind the target from the arrow eventually punching through (I shoot one at a time). Move the target around enough so you aren't always pounding the same spot.
The only precaution I take is making sure my cats are safely locked away in the bathroom.
Hi, new to archery. This is my "poor man's indoor archery range". Hope you like it. :)

Be safe folks. Using only blunts. Still can hurt the wall, but at least my mind is at peace knowing I will not hurt anybody, just my pride...hehe...

I don't know man, I wouldn't want to get hit by even a blunt.
Bows are serious weapons.
I shoot outside in places where I have good visibility behind and around my target and a good backstop.
I use my formaster for indoor form and strength training with no arrow on the string.
Completely agree Tracks, I was just talking about my setup, and blunts not passing thru the wall, like field tips may.
Ahhh, Now I'm picking up what you're throwing down.
Thanks for the clarification.
In winter my son and shoot in our basement.we have a couple of block target down there with plywood behind to stop a bad shot.It beats sitting around on days that you can't go out cuz of snow or very cold weather
Built the garage with a back door that opens into the dog kennel. I created a wall to keep the dogs from getting into my shooting area, 17 yards.

Anytime.
I can fix the wall if poop happens. I can't fix the arrow to the 'knee'...
Never had guts enough to try it.
I shot all the time indoors until married. Now it's outside only. When we finally build a place and I can have a workshop, you can count on an indoor shooting lane though!
Here's a little video I made some time back. This is my winter indoor archery range. It's about 17 yards.

In the winter I can get about 13 yards in my basement. I have to squeak the arrow through a support beam and a work bench. No good pictures though. have to shoot while seated.

I have shot in the house when it was too cold. But I don't do it anymore. The last arrow I went through the target and split a shelf in our linen closet. Stupid of me!
