I was wondering what the spine of a 2219 shaft is. On my homemade tester it reads about 92 lbs. Does this sound about right. Thanks
Thats probably about right at 26 inch centers. The deflection on 28 is .337 so its pretty stiff. I shoot the 2219 out of a 64lb@27" brack quest. I use 175 grain broadheads and cut the arrows to 29".Its a good heavy shaft and seems to fly well from cut past center bows.

Thanks I am looking for it at 26" center with a 2 lb. weight.
The amo(26" centers) spine is 93.8 lbs.
I shoot them out of my 68#@29" recurve cut to 29.75" with 145 grain points
I think my spine tester is pretty close. Thanks
I wish I had a few 2219 Grand Slams to go with the 2317 Grand Slams I have from the nineties...only have one left and it has a bit of a crack near the tip...I would still use it to shoot a bear out of a tree stand

Hi Dave,
2219 XX78 Super Slams can still be had with a little luck and a lot of looking. I was able to pick up 2 dozen last year, full length and still NIB that surfaced at an online archery store.
I will keep my eyes open for you.
Take Care,
Tom
