Title: Barry and where
Post by: hunting stix on September 04, 2007, 01:46:00 AM
Any one know of what type of bow does Barry Wensel use? And does anyone know of a place in the Ann Arbor Michigan area to hunt?

I'm pretty sure Barry shoots a Dale Dye Recurve. I'm sure he'll be along to let you know for sure.

Scott: Chad is right. I mostly shoot bows by Dale Dye of Hamilton, MT (406) 363-2983, although Mike Fedora (717-933-8862) just built me a beauty with my initials inlaid in gold! Gene shoots mostly Bob Morrison bows (740-587-0368). I'm still on the road back east but you can keep tabs on us through our website at  www.brothersofthebow.com. (http://www.brothersofthebow.com.)  We've got all kinds of stuff going on. You can even come share a campfire or go through my bootcamp with us sometime. Best of luck on a great season. BW

Mr. Wensel, thank you for taking the time to write in. I have checked with both companies that you mentioned, but they seem to be too expensive for me. I would like to know if you know, or know some one that might know of a good company that is cheaper, or a used bow from one of those companies?

Scott, check the classifieds out on the boards. You can find good deals there on the bow you want, if you give it time. Sorry I can't answer any questions about the hunting areas.

As far as a place to hunt in the ann arbor area. The pinckney recreation area is not far from there at all lots of ground and deer. Hunted there and the waterloo recreation area alot between chelsea and gregory and chealsea and stockbridge there are hundreds of places to hunt on state land. just get a map of the waterloo recreation area and the pinckney rec area. Then whack em and stack em come Oct 1st.  Good luck i could give you more detailed places as far as roads and certain pull offs just pm me.
