Thanks Terry. I get after them a couple times a year (more if I could). Didnt get a picture of my last one. For those who know Tejon, I shot it at last light and it tumbled into a godforsaken canyon and after dragging it half a mile I forgot to snap a picture.

Here are some oldies..\\

I recently spent a couple weeks on highway 1 from LA to SF, on to Napa valley, then into the Sierra Nevada range. To my surprise, I saw lots of bow-hunting opportunities. CA gets a bad rap due to all the political garbage.  Nice, very nice country.

I just moved here to Pacific Beach (San Diego) last week. First time logging into the Gang since I got here. Likely no hunting this year while I am still settling in but looking forward to meeting some of you and hunting out here. I sold all the climbing treestands and ready to start walking!  It will sure be different from Virginia!  Pigs look like fun. Don't know how you get close enough to those coyotes to shoot them. I'm impressed.

My zone opens this Sat.  taking 5 days off. hoping to leave Thur. this year trying something different, Got a Guidos web, 1st time hunting in any kind of tree stand. Got my tree picked out, was up in it a couple of weeks ago cutting limbs etc. its in a saddle near where I killed a buck(my first with a bow) a few years ago. Any way I wont be in the miil so I will enjoying that and hanging out with my brother and friend cant beat that.

Stinger, Welcome to California. Don't give up on the tree stand hunting. I hunt most all my game from trees. Even the pig I posted a picture of was shot from a tree stand.

How about the weather here---short sleeve pheasant hunting in November. I ended up shooting 2 out of the sky that day---love it.

Looking at the pic I realize how young my dog was. she's a veteran now.

These pics give me hope that there is still some good hunting here in Cali!  Can't wait for my gear to show up so I can start shooting again.
