Most recent Tejon hog. Taken with a double carbon, 57@28 bow I built.
Great picture and Tejon is a great ranch. I havnt hunted it YET!,but I have been to the CBH State Broadhead shot there. This is a great start. Thanks for sharing.
Nice pig, Tejon Ranch is awesome. My zone opens next weekend. Packing up this weekend , can't wait.
Hey!!!!
Nice to see your mug behind a hog again!!!
Congrats!!!
Thanks Terry. I get after them a couple times a year (more if I could). Didnt get a picture of my last one. For those who know Tejon, I shot it at last light and it tumbled into a godforsaken canyon and after dragging it half a mile I forgot to snap a picture.
Here are some oldies..\\

Thumper, can you tell us more about that quiver. It looks like you have 30 arrows there :bigsmyl:
Sorry ..no pics to share but will be at Tejon Ranch for the Fall hunt.........
Tim, I've yet to kill a cat with my bow..
That's a really nice trophy, congratulations!
Nice cat Thumper and those arrows look as though they would be easy to find.
Nice Bobcat
I recently spent a couple weeks on highway 1 from LA to SF, on to Napa valley, then into the Sierra Nevada range. To my surprise, I saw lots of bow-hunting opportunities. CA gets a bad rap due to all the political garbage. Nice, very nice country.
Great start guys. Some great pictures so far. Ill try to get some up soon.
Beautiful cat - cool bow kill!
I hope to chase some black tails there one day look foward to seeing pics!
who is this Beach guy???? :dunno:
Took this one today.

Wanted to join in on the fun! I Shot this pig with my 50#@31" 64" Safari Elite recurve back in 2011.

I just moved here to Pacific Beach (San Diego) last week. First time logging into the Gang since I got here. Likely no hunting this year while I am still settling in but looking forward to meeting some of you and hunting out here. I sold all the climbing treestands and ready to start walking! It will sure be different from Virginia! Pigs look like fun. Don't know how you get close enough to those coyotes to shoot them. I'm impressed.
My zone opens this Sat. taking 5 days off. hoping to leave Thur. this year trying something different, Got a Guidos web, 1st time hunting in any kind of tree stand. Got my tree picked out, was up in it a couple of weeks ago cutting limbs etc. its in a saddle near where I killed a buck(my first with a bow) a few years ago. Any way I wont be in the miil so I will enjoying that and hanging out with my brother and friend cant beat that.
Stinger, Welcome to California. Don't give up on the tree stand hunting. I hunt most all my game from trees. Even the pig I posted a picture of was shot from a tree stand.
Haven't been hunting this year at all, remodeling the house, haven't shot my bow in about 4 months but here is a couple form last year off of Fort Hunter Liggitt.

How about the weather here---short sleeve pheasant hunting in November. I ended up shooting 2 out of the sky that day---love it.

Looking at the pic I realize how young my dog was. she's a veteran now.
These pics give me hope that there is still some good hunting here in Cali! Can't wait for my gear to show up so I can start shooting again.
I head out Sunday for deer and bear.
