Yesterday I was helping some friends/neighbors (of NA bloodlines) start out shooting traditional bows, as their ancestry called to them to do. My Distinctive pleasure. This is Timmy, son of my next door neighbors.

This was Timmy's second session (most call him Tim, as he is 35 now but I'm still stuck on on what I've always called him - LOL). It was the first session for the others, while visiting the Campbells.

Timmy's nephew, and Shawnee's cousin, Jarod, and Shawnee (hamming for the camera - LOL) He said, "How about this one?"

Shawnee passing the gear and some instructions on to Jarod (who will get more sessions as he wants them, since he lives here and his Mother wants to learn also.

A final shot for Jarod. Timmy's comment about his personal feelings toward Traditional archery, "Bernie's created a Monster here in me." - LOL - Again, my pleasure.

Very cool! :clapper:
Nice Bernie!!
Way to go, Bernie! It's really hard (read that as impossible) not to share, isn't it. And fun, too.
Thank you, Mudd, and others - I truly love starting folks out in Trad. You know, those who can't shoot, start others off - LOL. I always say, I start folks off and, if they stick with it, within 3 months they are usually shooting circles around me. (and then I come to hate them :D - just kidding there)
good job Bernie
Nice pictures .... Great job getting them started. There is something special about seeing that arrow fly for the first time!
For sure, and I love to watch "the arc of the arrow" as others are shooting, which we don't get to do when we shoot (or aren't supposed to - LOL)
  Good stuff!!
That first pic looked like he had a serious " pluck" going on, B!
The rest look like they took to it like a duck to water... only YOU, Bernie, would introduce Native Americans back to the bow! LOL...good on ya!
Glad you're feeling well enough to bless them
Great thread Bernie!
Alright Bernie! Looks like you folks were having fun.
Tom
Way to go!
hey uncle Bernie that is way to cool i like the look on tims face priceless :archer:
Naw Dave - actually that was my fault - he didn't realize I snuck the camera out there, and I forgot to disable the flash (he's a little "goosey") and I shot it just AFTER his release. He was ready to do battle with aliens from outer space, I think. When He saw me with the camera, he burst out laughing. Actually his shot was good, as it got off before the flash did. We all had a laugh over it.
Thanks, all, for the positive comments and for looking.
You all know how to have a good time. Way to go.
I wish there was a Bernie's Back Yard in MY neighborhood!
Looks like a ton of fun. You are a grand teacher on a number of levels, friend.
Killdeer :wavey:
Bless you, Killie. I wish there was a Killie near my back yard!
The rest of you would be welcome too. I can't recall anyone ever coming to shoot with me whose company I didn't enjoy. There is just something special about traditional shooting and passing it on. We had another session last evening, shorter due to sundown, but equally as much fun and even more productive. Thankfully, I was able to find more extra gear in my "Glory Hole Room", so Jarod and Shawnee didn't have to share, and both could get more shooting in. They were happy campers. (Left the camera in the house, and wished I hadn't after - LOL.) :goldtooth:
Bernie you just keep on doing what you're doing.
The whole world will be a better place for it.
Killie girl you'd most likely be welcomed at anyone's range.(mine for sure) Mine isn't as nice as Bernies but I can still fling arrows out to 90 yards, mine just doesn't have the versatility or variety of Bernie's.
God bless,Mudd
