Jim Gainey, near Jasper AL (I forget the town).  Bows are really nice, but he's out of business as of earlier this year.

He had a basic web page.  Jim's bows are outstanding and unique.  He made them all his own style.  Very well made and shooters.  I owned two and regret selling the last one once I learned he was done.  The trad world lost a talented bowyer.  His spear point limb tips were some of the prettiest.

I picked up a Black Creek ILF riser, put Black Max Trad. Tech limbs on it--it is a fine bow. Roy

Jim is from Arley, and just recently sold his business. His bows shot great, looked great, fantastic finish etc.

I also own one of Jim's TDRs.  One of the prettiest and best shooters I've ever used. Very talented man..

The best part about Jim's bows was Jim, honest, honorable and the consummate craftsman.

I still have one of Jim's bows from last year. Jim was a very nice and honorable guy with a talent for making beautiful and great shooting bows. There are other good bowyers in the business but it seems a shame to lose his talent. Whatever else he does, I'm sure that he will do well at it, and wish for him to be successful.

Eric is right, "The best part about Jim's bows was Jim, honest, honorable and the consummate craftsman."

He's just slowly finishing off mine at the moment. Last siren ever I think. He seems to be  busy as hell with his new job. Has been great to deal with so far, I think based on the photos he sent me this one is going to be something special!
