I am currently shooting Gold Tip Traditionals 3555. My question is this. One if the big box stores has Goldtip Expedition Hunter arrows for 20 dollars for 1/2 dozen. How do these compare to my current arrows. Seems pretty cheap to stump and small game hunt with but don't want to have to retune much with them.
They should shoot the same. That's a heck of a price.
Trads are a tiny bit stiffer than the regular black, but it shouldn't be enough to change your setup.
They are practically the same except the expedition hunters are a hair lighter gpi I believe. Shouldn't make much of a difference.
They should be about the same except the traaditionals should weight a bit more due to the woodgrain finish.

The black GT 3555 are stiffer and lighter than the GT Traditionals. I can tell a noticeable difference between the two. The black GT's are quite a bit faster in 3555.
On the other hand I cannot tell nearly as big a difference between the two with GT 5575 arrows.
Actually the expedition hunters are heavier.. they are camo tip to tip... ( I have both )
It may change your point on a touch,, but the tune should be fine.
twenty dollars for six arrows is a steal...below wholesale...better buy them all....
The black Expedition Hunters weigh less than the Traditionals.

I have 55/75 in both Black Expedition Hunters and the Trads .. I see a big difference ... with the Black Exped being much stiffer in spine. Bare shaft testing both cut to 30.5" the Black require 245 grain point and the Trads shot with a 175 grain point.
You should be happy with them, great deal.
i stand corrected. i thought it was the other way around.
What box store did you find these at?
