I was wondering that too. Looks like his wife is shooting a Samick or maybe an old Hoyt? Maybe Big Jim made her a custom?? :smileystooges: :jumper:

Classic man! Love it
I'm coming to Kirk's house for Christmas! I just get socks from my in-laws.
Aaron,
Many of us inquired of Kirk what it would take to be adopted... given those lovely Christmas Gifts.
I can't print the answers here, but I suspect it would be many more zeros BEHIND the numbers in one's bank account...not like mine where they're all IN FRONT of my balance! :saywhat:
A little sidetrack here, but seeing Kirks daughter and son in law holding their new bow sure gives a different perspective on the size of Kirks risers, did not realizes there that compact :saywhat:
In all of the pic's i've seen they appear to be a little more bulky (no offense just the best word to use to describe my seeing) but man they look really sleek an stealthy!

Hey Phrog....nice pics. Brave chicken.
Like the arrow tube you rigged up there....good idea!!
Skitch, they say necessity is the mother of invention; for me, it's more like frugality (some would say "cheapness") is the mother of invention.
Tom
Tom,
Pretty pair of shooting gals...and what really impressed me is that acreage in the background around Morgantown.
You're double blessed!
Lionel,
Indeed! That is one sweet looking bow--and adorable li'l gal!! She'll be the next mascot for Team Pink here on Gang!
Thanks, Dave. Stop on over some time- we're just down the road a piece.
Tom
These are some really nice pictures. It is good to see the ladies taking an interest. Keep the pics coming. Unfortunately, I will not be able to contribute. My girls just don't have the desire to even give it a try.

Some brazen folks here, posting photos of the wife. :scared: I do not have the stones for that. I've got a good one of the wife 9mo pregnant at a 3d shoot, but there's no way I'm dumb enough to post it. I may look dumb, but not that dumb.

It might have had something to do with her father's taunting. Something about how'd she'd never get her arrow to stick in that tough old croc the way she kept coming to half draw....
My wife started shooting this past winter now loves it, here she is stumping with her new "Bama Expi Royal Canary wood R/D longbow! Getting ready for the Great Lakes Longbow Inv this weekend!

Great pictures everyone. My wife hasn't bitten yet but i'll keep trying. Crispin, what kind of bow is that that your daughter is shooting?
At Denton Hill last month it was very evident that women have found and are very much enjoying traditional archery. Lots of ladies of all ages walking around the shoot. Not just looking but shooting! Its great to see!!!

Some great pics. There must be more ladies with bows out there.
My 11 yo grandaughter Kaitlin shooting some aerial discs. She loves it. You just can't teach a kid to shoot these. They seem to get it through repetition.

Looking at her shooting form, I'd bet that girl just drills the center out of whatever she's shooting at!
Well, I could never get the wife or daughter interested, but come July we are expecting to have a grand daughter. Maybe I'll live long enough to get her involved. You guys are very lucky to have such shooting buddies.

Monkeyball, I have had the pleasure of shooting a few rounds with you and Lori and always enjoyed it. However a guy has to shelve his ego cuz she really has a very suttle demeanor which seems sweet but hides an attitude of a spitting cobra!
Love the pics of wives and kids involved in our sport. Keep it up guys. I wish my wife wanted to hunt.

Not to be out done, Morgan's 21 months behind Mary in age, but every bit as tenacious and talented with her bow:

Mary's refinished 1959 Kodiak that she'll shoot for the first time tonight (leather wrap and rests have been added). By this fall, she'll graduate to a Super Shrew Little Favorite recurve:

There have been a number of young ladies in the shop who have learned to shoot a bow and ended up shooting pretty well. It's always a pleasure to watch how fast they learn. The photos that I'm posting now are of a young lady who has just completed her first hickory bow, 3 cane arrows, and a leather quiver. I gave her some advise along the way, but she did all of the work herself. Now she can be proud that she has actually built a bow, and arrows, and a quiver. A feat that not many people ever do. That's pretty good for a young lady to accomplish as a high school project. My hat is off to you Emily.
