This does have some mention of compounds so for that I apologize and if it the admins feel it is inappropriate then please remove it. It really has a great message though about what we do and why we do it. Enjoy!

Nice!
Just switching from a compond to traditional and I could explain it better why I changed. Thanks for sharing great video
Nice.
No different here and that describes the essence of bowhunting :clapper:
Another great clip. We should have a special place to keep these, so that we can refer back to them for reminders, and inspiration, or for those times that we can't find the right words to describe why we do what we do. Thanks for sharing.

Those 100 yard shots are the reason I stopped participating in another popular forum many years ago. When I made the same argument back then it was like talking to a brick wall.
I wonder if the PBS and others need some funding to run this as an ad on the outdoor channel and sportsmanship channel?
Ray....They should run it before every hunting show on every outdoor channel. So many miss the point about picking up a bow and arrow in the first place.
A video that was well said..thxs for sharing
Excellent video well spoken!
:archer:
Cool video!
I just emailed the link to my buddy who used to bow hunt, but recently bought a crossbow... because they're legal to use during the regular archery season in PA. Maybe it will jog his memory and he'll recall why he started bow hunting to begin with.
Should be required viewing for all "bowhunters".
really good.
Very Moving
Yep!
Thank you, nice video.
Very good video.
So true about new technology. Awesome!
That was put out by Professional Bowhunters Society......the Bowhunting Preservation Committee.
Great video!

Nice to see people with the same values, and concerns!

That was very nice.
Thanks
Outstanding!!!!
Does anybody know the names of the two older gents in the vid, the one doing the napping and the one who shows off the robin hood?
Well done
Well thought out video!
It makes me want to advocate an even earlier "traditional weapons" season.
Guys...thanks for all the kind words about the video and this overall effort. It has taken up a great deal of my time over the past several months.
Terry Green....just so you know, I didn't put this up! (I have been waiting for word from our head guru here on trad-gang to get permission to post this)
At the end of the video there is a website. For many of your questions, the answers will be on there....bio's and such.
This video is a "tease" to get the viewer to check out the site. To put this in basic terms, our efforts here, and intentions, is to resurrect the historical intent and philosophies behind the original premise of bowhunting seasons. Too many folks, bowhunters or not, have forgotten WHY we do this. It's about joining back in to the discussion on every level....calling BS on hyped up claims about equipment, tactics, ethics...really anything we want to talk about. It will be done in a respectable, and largely objective way...to show the world that there is and always was, another way that bowhunting is done. Our way.
Ultimately, yes, we need funds...a lot of them, and yes, we want to take this message outside of our comfort zones and right at the industry and the overhyped TV shows.
PBS and P&Y provided intitial funding to get this done. We have already received funds and pledges from all the northwestern states, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and interest from S. Dakota. We haven't even begun to solicit them yet! This is needed, and wanted and is being well-received.
The website is still under construction, but there is a lot there so far....go ahead and check it out (link at the end of video).
That's what its all about, Thanks
thanks that was a great Video, and website .. proud of the PBS and P&Y for producing it that's the kind of things I wanna see as a PBS member thank you
Great video, thanks for sharing.
it's a breath of fresh air to see/hear the spirit of bowhunters and not just bow killers. THANK YOU for the great heart felt message.

Yes! Such a well done video. love the message
Mark, This video received a very good response from members posting here on TradGang. You may want to check out a thread an another site " Where do you stand with bowhunting" to get a feel and prepare for opposite opinions as you go forward. One thing you may want to investigate some how is, do the guys that buy every new gadget out there and upgrade with technology spend more money or do more to help conservation efforts through the Pitman Roberts tax than the guy that makes his own equipment or buys from custom shops? How dependent are we on that money? I'm glad to see you are getting an emotional response for your efforts. Mike
Excellent video !
Mike....the money thing is certainly an angle we are aware of, as industry likes to throw that one out there for support. But it's not always about money...
At some point, and I think we are there, most of what is being developed pushes up against ethical practices. Money, vs ethics. And we are in areas now, where no laws exist to take care of the recent developments. It's not just bowhunting either.
As I said, and many PBS members know....we are just getting this thing off the ground. I hope the video teases out real support, and not just passive interest. It will take a big effort to counter what has been happening for decades now, un-checked really. We want to let the world know that some of us still care about this stuff, and not just how much money can be made and distributed by industry to buy out the naysayers.
Thanks Mark :clapper:
