Title: Anyone ever shoot an Ace single bevel?
Post by: TxAg on July 30, 2013, 06:47:00 PM
I placed an order with Bob this afternoon for a pack of left bevel 145 grain standard. I enjoy Ace heads and wanted to experiment with this grind.

Anyone using them? Got pics of downed animals?

Interesting, I did not realize they offered single bevel...

I'll  have to checkem out.

I've been using the 160gr Ace Standard for awhile. I too didn't know about the single bevel head. Now that I do know, I think I'll stay with the old stand-by Standard.

Haha, I'm a fan of the standard but I can't help but tinker. It gets me through the summer.

I got some done last year. The 200 gr super express. Shoot like double as far as I could tell.  Did not shoot anything with them though.

I shot the Ace Super Express single bevel. I could tell no difference in how they cut such as the "S" cut. BUT I could get the very very sharp.RC

Kinda what I figured. Not sure they'll be thick enough to get the most rotation out of the design, but figured I should be able to get them really sharp and keep a durable edge.
