Title: Green horn
Post by: Bones&Arrows on July 30, 2013, 11:12:00 AM
Hello, I'm brand new to both this forum and traditional archery. My wife took me to an enormous shooting event last weekend and I have found myself hooked on traditional archery.  I'm very excited about all this.

Trad bowhunting is like crack!!  You cant get enough...you build up a tolerance to your bow...then you need another....then another.....then another...before you know it, you're a Bear collector.....by the time you get yourself an original Bear Bowhunters Kit....its too late, you wont even recognize your mancave....you've been warned!!

Welcome to the campfire!!!  your wife sounds like a good woman!  :campfire:

My wife used to bow hunt with her father all the time and they used to hit these events every year until the past couple. Now we're planning on going to every shooting event possible. I'm so stoked that I want to go how hunting this next season.

We actually got me a 30lb fiberglass bear and some cheap arrows for the shoot and to start out with but her father has a Grizzly that he wants to keep in the family and is willing to give it to me should I deem myself worthy lol. He's also very willing to help me become a good archer.
