Just bragging on her a bit. ;) She went to the backyard with me to retrieve my arrows so I didn't have to keep climbing up and down the tree. I think she should get an award or something.

I'm very grateful for her.
That is pretty special!!!!
Best wife, and maybe best backyard ever :)
I think a date night out of her choosing is in order.
My wife MIGHT do that, but after about two retrieves she'd be toast. She is just not into archery or hunting. She makes up for it in other ways though. She let's me hang alot of bows on the upstairs hallway and doesn't gripe when I get numerous packages in the mail loaded with trad goodies. :)
BTW, I let my wife read my post. She laughed and agreed. And she thinks your wife is exceptional also.
You are very lucky to have a wife who shows interest in your hobby.
That's pretty amazing, but will she also fetch you a beer? :-)
We are having a date night tonight. She also stayed out there for about 30 minutes going back and forth. And yes she does fetch a beer as well. Even has dinner ready when I get home from work late. She also let me hang my deer mount by the bed.
Mine doesn't retrieve arrows, but this is what I got for my anniversary 2 years ago. On the back is inscribed "Ray Lyon Anniversary Bow". Super Shrew Classic Hunter with foam/carbon core.

My wife gets my beer too! You are a lucky man. :clapper:
:clapper:
Great wives are a blessing! Mine helps field dress and drag whitetails with me! She cooks it up real well too! I am blessed!
Wives like these are rare! Mine is pretty good too I go hunting whenever I want and she doesn't start complaining until about the 2nd month. You would think after 20yrs. Of marriage she would be used to it. Oh well her complaining doesn't bother me I only have to listen to it for a month, well that's when I hear her. :biglaugh:
That's just KOOL!!! You're a lucky man
My wife got me a Black Widow PLX for Christmas last year, I feel very Blessed myself.
I love my wife!
She lets you hang your deer mount by the bed???
Now that is a special lady indeed!

for real!!
I've got an awesome wife as well. Sometimes there's a cold beer in a frosty mug waiting for me when I come in the door. She'll go to the 3D shoots with me, even though she doesn't want to shoot. She always volunteer to carry our extra stuff and keeps score.
She even kept score for my kids, me and Bisch when we shot together without making me feel like a total loser. As in "another 12 for Bisch, and what was that for you honey, a 5?"
She didn't complain about the holes in the back of the garage that I made when I was first learning to shoot, or the holes in the boxes of Christmas ornaments that were unfortunately right next to my target. All around great gal she is!
Sounds like a good one. My wife will fetch arrows for me if I'm in my stand and she's around. She will also fetch a nice cold Sam Adams for me too. The only problem is if I ask her to grab a beer the first 2-3 sips are gone before I get it. I'm not complaining though. Hope you had a good time on your date night.
Some great wives out there, mine is no exception. She is always the first to help bone out/cut up our Deer..
I don't think she trusts me to get all the Sinew off...
Mine won't fetch arrows but two years ago she did help me drag out a 201 lb hog from the swamp in her sandals....lol
She does not shoot nor hunt but never misses a chance to go camping once it cools off.
She's a real trooper, especially the way you shoot, from what I've heard,
Wives (and mothers) are pretty special people. Mine is the hardest working & one of the smartest persons I know. A dedicated mother and companion. I couldn't do it w/o her. I Love her dearly.
I am a lucky man for sure. She is also an excellent wild game cook, her venison lasagna is awesome!
Kris
That picture makes it look like you should be shooting a .7MM Mag, instead of arrows.!!!! lol
New saying....."great wife, happy life"
She is awesome. She OK'd me for a trip next fall (if everything goes right) it's a DIY elk hunt in Colorado with my dad. I think the key is to find not just a mate and partner but a best friend that encourages and supports (even if they don't participate) your passion.

That is out to 30. I practice out to 40 so those 25 yarders are money come 10/1.
