I am in the process of buying an ilf rig from a member here.My questions is if I order a pair of limbs, say 55#,will that be the maximum that my bow will be able to shoot or the minimum?(to make things easier lets assume we are talking a 28" draw.)
It depends upon the mfgr. If I recall correctly, listed poundage on ******** is the minimum but Hoyts are the Maximum. Bottom line is that the mfgr makes a difference. I would recommend a call to the bow maker or check their web site to make sure.

What he said.
It depends on the brand, I own two different brands, one(Dryad) labels it at mid preload on a 19" riser and the other labels it at minimum preload and mentions the length of the riser/limbs combo. Limbs I was told once, are adjustable about 10% of what they are marked. If you got the coin, I highly recommend the Dryad ILF Legends!
