Hi everyone, I recently acquired some EASTON game-getter II shafts, all of the shafts are 2219, however some of them say XX75 on the shaft while others do not. Is there a difference between the two? Thanks!
Are they all Game Getter II shafts.The XX75 is they are made out of 7075-T9 alloy.Most of the Easton aluminum arrows are made out of 7075-T9 except a couple of models like XX78 are made from 7178-T9.And their Fall Stalker are made from 5086 alloy,really low tensile strength like 58,000 psi when compared to XX75 at 95,000 psi and XX78 at 100,000 psi.A 2219 is a 2219 with same GPI and spine it's just some have different tensile strength.If all your shafts are GGII they should be the same strength,some older shafts were not always marked as clear.

Thank you for clarifying that for me. All the shafts I have say Gamegetter II on them; some are a more brown color, these are the shafts that are not marked XX75, they do look older than the shafts that are marked XX75 which have a more silver coloration. I just wasnt sure whether or not there would be any difference when tuning/shooting these arrows.
They will shoot the same. It is just that the ones with the lower tinsel strength will not take the abuse of an XX75....they are of a softer aluminum alloy.

heres a pic of the two side by side, any chance that the unmarked ones are still XX75? Also do both shafts still weigh the same; regardless of whether they're xx75 or not? Thanks fellas
As I recall the older Gamegetters were 6061 aluminum...seems like at some point Easton upgraded the material to 7075...they will weigh the same...regardless of the material, with .019 wall thickness 2219's are pretty tough arrows...not indestructable though as I have bent and busted lots of them or I would still have the full dozen XX78 Grand Slams instead of the one lonely one I have left...in today's world a 2219 is essentially a .340 spine...not for everybody but as a long draw shooter I would love to have a dozen or so Grand Slams...just gonna have to make do with the 2317's I have left from the nineties
