Hunting with the bow and arrow by Pope comes to mind.  Witchery of Archery also.

Pick up a copy of the Witchery of Archery.  Fits the time period your looking for.

The witchery of archery is a great book but is difficult to read as people talked different back then than they do today.

"The Adventurous Bowmen" by Saxton Pope and Art Young is about their 8 month safari to Africa in 1925. A really good read if you can find it. Don't get your bubble burst with the ethics of the shots though. It was a different time and place.

Toxophilus in Arcadia by Maurice Thompson -- it's a revised and edited version of Thompson's unpublished manuscripts by Cliff Huntington.  Might try to get in touch with Cliff - or Fred & Teresa Asbell have copies of the book.
