Need help!
My question is what grain broadhead I should be using with Carbon Express Mayhem 250 arrows?
Here are my specs to determine it:
Bear Grizzly 62" #45@28. My draw is 30". Arrows stated above.
I just wanna make sure I'm getting the right grain broadhead for these arrows...was thinking 125 grain will work but I may be wrong...

I would think you would need more than 125 up front with that setup, more like 175-200gr. You might get a field tip test pack or borrow a few different weight heads and go from there.
I bought some 31" CE250's with 100gr brass inserts epoxied in. 125gr points flew quite well bare shafted out of my 50# bow, so I agree with slivrslingr on the heavier point weight. With your long draw, you might be a little over 50#, but that should put you fairly close.
That 125 up front is prob not heavy enough. I shoot 51 lbs and cx 250 with 275 gr up front n 31 arrow. Try bare shafting. Do a search on here how to do it. It's best way to determin what your bow needs arrow wise. Good luck
Guys, I haven't purchased those arrows I stated above just yet but was about to... In general, do you think those arrows are good for my bow and specs or should I be thinking about something else??? Currently I'm shooting heritage 150s with 125 grains up front and they shoot straight and quick but also have shot some full metal jackets with 175 up front and they are great as well but shoot much "stronger"/ faster. Of anyone can help me big time with this stuff please contact me somehow. I just wanna expand my knowledge base cuz I'm new to this stuff and don't have an elder to help at the moment. Lots of questions and concerns here...

I'm shooting 150 CE Heritage with 150 up front. My bow is 45@28"but I pull about 30" like you do. My arrows are cut to 32.25 and this set up is doing well for me. I have some 250s but i'm sure I would have to go pretty heavy up front if I tried them in this bow.
stick with those carbon express. esp for the money. good arrow
with deer sized game, if your arrows are pushing close to 500 gr. your fine man. with your draw your shooting about 51 lbs. figure 3lbs per inch over that your draw the bow to your draw length. as far as choosing arrows n a set up. there is no magical choice. pick a arrow u want to shoot. i say the cheaper the better, plus those CX dont bend like full metal jackets do. pick what you want to shoot, and figure the weight you want to be at arrow wise and play with that arrow till u ge t the set up are looking for. i shoot a widow 51@29 with 630+ arrow is heavy, make my bow super quiet, and fast enough for me.

dont be its really pretty simple after you understand how it all goes together. just sit down on here and search and read it all. search the threads about guys who shoot #45 and less. your set up will be just fine even with a 3 blade like a vpa, which is what i am currently using. long and narrower. that 3:1 ratio heads penetrate great. if you have any tuning questions pm me. i been there done that. im not expert but i can get ya through the rough spots.
With my #45 bear recurve I ended up with Beeman ics bowhunters in the 29" range and 200 grains up front. Arrow ended up around 460 grains which put me around the 10 grain per pound weight and a heavy front. I think you should stick with 150's or 500 spine arrow and adjust your point weight. I personally like having an arrow in the 10 to 12 gpp weight with 200 or 250 up front. I think it gives me fairly flat trajectory, or at least one I can mentally adjust to easily and good penetration if I hit bone.

I don't shoot CE's, but would think you need to stay with the 150's and depending on the arrow length you could still end up adding tip weight to tune. There are way too many variables to predict a "formula" that will work without doing the "leg work" of shooting and tuning. Maybe a good starting point, but that would be the 150's, full length.
