My hog ended up with some obvious bat features when it comes to the head, but thats ok, because confidence gained from shooting at targets that
( kinda ) emulate the game you hunt is priceless.
Shooting at spots is great practice but it seems my confidence is boosted greatly by performing well on targets that emulate the game ill be hunting.
Who else finds confidence in shooting targets that emulate the game they plan to hunt? :campfire:
That's a great target! What did you fill it with? I definitely find that shooting 3D targets helps to train my eyes for hunting shots. Whether or not it helps my confidence is another story! :banghead:
Victoryhunter, I just cut and stitched an old burlap bag and stuffed it tight with sheet plastic available at most home improvement, hardware or farm stores.
It aint purty but it fits the bill for this upcoming Hog hunt in Jan. :campfire:
Once I get tuned, strictly 3D targets no vitals no spots.Just focus on the spot i want to hit.I do alot of shooting at dusk and dawn legal light.
Aim small miss small.
Good Luck Meathook
I shoot 3-D quite a bit. Placing them in the woods in hunting scenarios is a great practice method
love it
What aw said!
