With some of my recent post on Frogging some have asked what do you do after the frogging done and your now faced with the task of cleaning them thangs :saywhat:
This post is a continuing how to of the "Frog point pitchforks" and hunting them.
On this trip Tommy Ballinger (Pascagoula Archer) and me hit up Boggy Lake for another go at it.
We had a good night and brought home 8 (6 for Tommy and 2 for me, Tommy likes me to keep score :dunno: ).
I'll post more after church and while I wait for the video to load.

Nice shooting!
cut the legs off at the hip, the two legs are still together, put an old sock on your hand and reach between the legs at the hip area grab the skin and pull towards the toes, skin comes off, cut off feet, clean a bit, roll in flour and pepper, and toss them in a skillet of grease, awsome.
Man! that one at the lower grip area is a big un'
I love frog legs. Up here, our frogs are 1/2 that size. Be following this along anyway, they are delicious. rat'
Man you are the Frog Killa! Makes me want to go froggin!
Ok guys sorry for the delays but our frig is on the brink and I had to do some repairs and cleaning of the coils, please pray it works as I don't have the $$$ for a repair, thanks.
To make this short here is the video on cleaning the frogs my way hope it make sense... Mooshkat had a tip that I think would work great by using an old sock as he suggested as the skin is really slippery and can be hard to grasp.

SWEET! If'n it's as easy as it looks in your vid, John, even a dumb yankee could do it!
Curious as to why you don't use a board to cut the legs off. Seems it would be cleaner and easier on the machete.
Good video. Thanks for sharing.
man i love frog legs thanks for sharing
Thanks for the video.
Richard,
Either way will work this is just quicker for me and one less item to gather up (board). If I had a bigger pair of shears that would be best option.
Great video John good job , the frog you used must have been one that I killed ....lol ...
Well, it was a 75% chance it was one of yours seeing you had 6 in the bag :readit:
John thanks for the video. Once you put them into that glass bowl,my mouth started watering. Boy they look tasty. rat'
Thanks guy for the comments!
Robert, I've got those 16 legs in the freezer now waiting for when my wife get ready to cook them or me :bigsmyl:
We have another 78 legs over at Kirks house and we plan to have a frog fry in a couple of weekends and then go frogging that night.
Great video! Thanks for posting it.

Seriously, amazing there are any frogs in your parts way you boys stack em up! Wow! And thanks for the video...I had a picture from your written words, earlier, but that video made it look slick! THANKS!
Keep an eye on that wife of your'n!
Snip around the body, just under the skin with sharp scissors. Grab the skin with pliers, pull down to the feet and just cut the legs off in a bowl or pot with the scissors. Don't need a board but another set of hands makes the work go quick.
I sure am "hawngry".......(southern for very, very hungry) :biglaugh:
I can't wait for part two...preparing, frying, then the best part eating!!! you have me "hawngry" and i'm a northern boy.
i like to leave the "pants" on mine when i freeze em in a ziplock baggie full of water and peel em out when ready to cook.usually tote a pair of heavy scissors and a small bag to put the legs in makes for easy carrying.fresh frog legs is hard to beat.ya'll got me wanting to go get some :bigsmyl:
Great video. My uncle and I used to go frogging every night when they was out. We had to get used to the water moccasins. Some places had so many moccasins we would just let the frogs be. We would drag in about 2 a.m. and clean and fry.
David,
Speaking of Moccasins..

Thanks for the video. I've skinned a lot of animals but never a frog so your expertise is appreciated. I hope to utilize your recommendations in the near future.
Thanks for posting John!
