Post by: Slickhead on July 11, 2013, 10:30:00 PM
Thinking of ordering some.
Whats the best way to sharpen.
Ive owned woodsmans but couldnt get them as shap as I prefer.

Plus the snuffers are wider I believe.
Thanks

I sharpen on a diamond stone and then strop on leather. Scary sharp and I think it is easier than with a two blade.

That's what I do with WWs.   Very little pressure at the end seems to be the key

I work them with a 16" file then stone and strop with cardboard.  Very sharp.

I use a 10 mil bastard file across 2 blades applying pressure from rear to front. Twenty five strokes per all sides. Finish them up on a leather strop or large ceramic stik.

Some Snuffers (160 gr) I can shave hair with some I can't but I know they are sharp enough to kill. I touched one up using my RADA knife sharpner and it quickly put a shaving edge on the head.
