Danny, that's a pretty impressive collection you're putting out there for eye candy.  All I can say is I've got a dozen vintage yellow Microflite #9's that are 30" long and never been shot (6 with Bear razorheads) coming my way.   :notworthy:

(I know you were looking for some so I'll be a sporting guy and trade you even up for one of the bows above though)?

Dave, cause I wanted a 58" for use in blinds.

Kind of like having your brother there with you in the blind as well...I like the way you think...you can share a blind with me any time...call you in a big old Canadian bull moose

Very nice Danny.  And yes,  M'Bogo is being treated like a queen. All refinished, has a twin set of limbs on the way for company, and will see some traveling to CO and KS this year.  Still undecided on my next one yet.

You should see the silver inlay I had put of a Mule Deer Antler in my checkered BW riser.  It goes well with my Whitetail Antler on my other checkered BW riser.

Danny is there  any difference in performance in the 62inch bows with the 17 and 19 inch risers
Thanks Shane

Shane,

both the 17" and 19" risers making a 62" bow are outstanding in performance. I cannot say which I prefer the most. The advantage of the 19" riser is a larger sight window which fits me well but I shoot all three riser lengths well. There is just something about a Tip that fits me very well.

Just curious Danny, but are all the limbs and risers interchangeable with each other?
Title: Re: My stable of SilverTips
Post by: Danny Rowan on July 13, 2013, 11:12:00 AM
Keith,

I have not tried that with any of these, but from my experience, and from what Beth has told me, the limbs need to be fit to the individual riser as most times there are some minor differences in the limb bolt alighnments and they may not match up exactly. I have noticed the same thing with Dale Dye bows, not sure if it is because each is handmade vice CNC machined like some custom bows.

When I ordered the matching set of limbs for MBogo, she asked that I send in the riser to match the limbs to it.  I will send everything so it will be perfect.  And when I decide on my riser later I will have it match everything too.

You have some beauties there Danny.  I now have 2 Silvertip recurves and 1 longbow, but another recurve should get here in September.  I have never taken pictures of them, but mine are not as tricked out as yours.  They sure know how to make meat though.  I love them.
