Anyone have experience with this head? Pros-Cons? Thinking about trying on whitetails this season out of a 50lb recurve.

One can argue the Phathead, regardless of weight, is the best 4 blade head made. I also love Stingers, but one need ever look further than a Phathead. The Phathead is hair razor sharp out of the box and an unbendable .080 thickness.
The Phathead has all 5 star reviews of 3 Rivers and out of 20 reviews on Cabela's, 16 are 5 stars. The African is 190grs as a 2 blade and 200grs as a 4 blade. Steelforce also will make them in 175-180 for you and can likely do 200gr's plus upon special order (I assume).

I'm gonna try these.
I've used them and always got pass-thru's. Nick at Steelforce said a hunter got a complete passthru with a Phathead on a Giraffe, in Africa. That's a rare feat.
On my light weight setup's, I'm going to use GrizzlyStik Sitka's with the brass insert and the 75gr titanium Phathead. That'll get me in the high 400gr total weight with about 150grs up front.
Bump
There all I shoot.
I'm shooting the single bevel titanium 145s. Not exactly a phathead but pretty well same thing. They fly like DARTS out of my #53 tall tines with fmj 500 and 75gr inserts.
They are (single bevel titanium 145s) what are currently on my AD Trad Lites for this year. Shooting them out of my 47# Cornstalker. Have not harvested anything yet but, have lots of hope! :D
I have seen deer my hunting partner has passed through with them 145s out of a 50lb herters they are a great head from what I have seen.
I'm shooting the 180 gr. and they fly like darts. Hope to see how they work on a whitetail in October.
