The morning of July 4, I was hiking and scouting my elk hunting area when I came upon this feller, initially feeding peacefully at about 50 yards. By the time I got the camera situated, he had moved out further, but I still got to watch him for several minutes before he fed into some thick stuff. I hope he is still around come 1 September.
