Who hunts with a Kodiak mag, new or old? Looking for some love for the little bow, post up some kill pics if you have any.
I'll be following this one! I had a K-Mag for a little while, and I'm itching to get another. Great bows.
I'd like to have one, but would my 29" draw be too much? I shoot 3 under.
I think Charlie Lamb bout near wore one out.
I had a few, never hunted with them. Cool bows none the less!
I've got a '72 and a '76.
They are super smooth and hit where I'm looking. I've got 8 custom bows, but I shoot the 2 KMags better than any thing else I have.
They are both a bit noisy, but I'll start another thread on that so as not to hi-jack this one.
heres one,

great little bows, I cant complain about them.
I loved mine like no other
Great pics, arrow30! Could you tell us about the Kmag in the last photo? The grip looks unique.
pokerdaddy... I reworked the grip, and added a leather wrap on it, deffinently looks different now, but its comfy.
I had a 69 or 70. That's the one that got away.
I started shooting traditional bows over the winter. I bought 4 bows before spring and sold my wheels. I got a good deal on the 50th anniversary k mag from big jim. I love it, seems like it was made for my hand specifically. The heaviest weight he had was 45, even though it's lighter than my other bows, I'm taking it hunting this fall. I can shoot it better than my other bows. For some reason, i have more confidence in it than the others. It's beautiful to me. I have no problems with stacking at my 28" draw and its so light and compact . Perfect bow for me.

I have 2....both from the early/mid 70's....a 40# and a 45#. They are both in great shape. Have not shot the 40, but spent lots of time with the 45. Have taken rabbits with it. Its a great little bow that draws nice and smooth. Fun to shoot! Cheers to the K-mag!
Not sure what year mine is, but if I had to guess I would say early/mid 70's. The only thing it cost me was a dive through a dumpster, yup! Someone threw out a perfectly good K Mag  Right now I'm thinking this is going to be my hunting bow this fall, I'll keep everyone posted
LUCKY, i never found anything that good in a dumpster....
got the 50th anniversary k mag with green glass and a great northern bow quiver in matching green leather ,great shooter.
I had a beautiful little 55# 1967 that I bought from Joe Skipp, Back in 1996...
My ex-wife sold it on me while I was out of the house, pending our divorce. I sure would like to have that one back.....
I've had quite a few through the years, now shooting a 1966 and I agree they are fun to shoot especially in tight quarters. You have to play with them to quiet them down but that's part of the fun.Started my two oldest grandson's shooting them, now it's hard to keep one for myself.
I bought a '61 from Chuck (Ga. Boy) last Feb. Fast, light and great in a low ground blind!! A fantastic design! I shot it all winter and took it turkey hunting. Turkeys have been my jinx animal, but the Kmag broke the curse.
