It's summertime on the Gulf Coast and the frogs are croaking, time to be after them!

Kirk (Tommy's brother in law :scared:
Didn't get any pictures of the actual shooting and some of the adventures from the night like stepping on cotton mouth moccasins (twice) or getting turned around and circling the same area twice (neither one of us brought our compass or GPS's :knothead: )
But here are the pic's of the results

Cool! I have never hunted frogs before. I bet that makes for a really good meal.
Bisch
Hope to get a couple more trip in before summers over and schedule a frog fry like last year.
My weapon of choice for Frogzilla!

Bisch,
They make for a gourmet meal, very tasty table fare! Did not realize how popular frogs are outside of the South much less the USA, but they are really considered a delicacy in France.
John,
Great mess of frogs. They are one of the best predators on the planet. As an example, a Maine friend photographed a green frog (the largest New England native) jumped a chipmunk that had come to the lake to drink. Kermit dragged the rodent into the lake where it drowned and then ate it!!
I'll try to get the pics downloaded if I can.
Todd
Good stuff. Frogs are delicious, nice work!
Good going! Got some nice ones.
Todd, that would be great!
GOOD EATING right there for sure!!
Season isn't on yet for us but they are a blast to hunt and great eating! Nice shooting.
Nice shooting! That is a mean looking arrow head.
Good haul! I'm jealous, I haven't found a good spot for frog giggin round here yet, but there is litterally over 1000 miles of waterways in an hours circle of me. I'm considering building a bow specifically for frog shootin.
So tired of the frozen frog legs I get at the pub, I want good fresh frogs! No season or limit on american bulls here, which is nice!
I sure am hawngry !!!!!! :campfire:
Those look like some good eating there John. You tossing that pitchfork with one of your Centaur's?

Yes sir a bull frog is a killing machine! It's always interesting to perform an autopsy on their stomach contents and see what they consume.
Plenty of crawfish in those we shot John. Now if we could just convince them to eat all the snakes.
Wow. Color me dumb! I never knew they ate anything but bugs!
That is interesting to learn! Thanks, Guys! A chipmunk!?! Danged chippies over run our area...we need some frogs!
I would lie to see the how to on the pitchfork!
All right for the guys who have asked in this threads and in the past i'll start another topic on the "Frog point" it is not my original idea but a modification of a u-tube video I seen. This point is a little stouter and could be used for wing shooting too.
