Title: arrows for recurve
Post by: frassettor on August 31, 2007, 07:51:00 PM
I will be shooting a 54 lb recurve @28 in draw what arrows do you think I need. Some one told me to get a 29 inch arrow. I would like to shoot 10-11 grains per lb.

I had good luck with 2018s at that wt,If your looking a carbon 55\\75 gold tips with some wt up front will get you there. If you like woods a 55\\60 spine would be a good starting point...ED

The Easton 500s which are the black versions of the 2016s. They even have a $20 rebate you can print out on their site right now.

Rich, a Heritage 150 cut to 29"s and 175 to 200 grains up front would be perfect for ya,if the bow is cut any past center. This will give ya near 10 gpp. It has recently been proven that arrows weighing 8-9gpp. with very high FOC will penetrate as well if not better than an arrow weighing 10 gpp. or so without the high FOC.
